PERTH ARENA Sees The Light
UNLTD Solar awarded the contract to supply and install Perth's largest grid connect solar project.

Western Australian electricity retailer Synergy has awarded UNLTD Solar the contract to design and install a 110kw solar energy system on Perth’s new iconic sports and entertainment complex, The Perth Arena.
The installation is part of The Perth Solar City program and will be one of the largest solar projects undertaken in Western Australia, forming a crucial element of the Commonwealth and State Government funded initiative.
The state-of-the-art Perth Arena, a 14,000 seat, multi-purpose indoor venue, has been designed with a strong commitment to environmental sustainability.
UNLTD Solar Chief Executive Officer, Mr Kieron D’Arcy, said the solar installation was expected to supply enough power to meet the Perth Arena’s base load electricity requirements.“The solar panel array will be an icon of renewable energy in Perth. With high visibility from Perth’s CBD buildings and the Mitchell freeway, more than 50,000 people will see this shining example of renewable energy every day,” Mr D’Arcy said.
“2010 will be a landmark year for commercial uptake of solar energy in WA. The new, high efficiency, low cost solar technology available today coupled with increasing power prices create an ideal environment for companies of all sizes to make the switch to renewable solar energy, with a commercial payback of around 5 years.”
